Status bar that is normally displayed along the bottom of the screen in Windows 95. At the far left is a button marked Start, at the far right is a status display with the current time. If you click on the Start button, you'll see a list of the main activities: start a program, change the settings for your computer, get help or, lastly, shut down the PC in an orderly manner. If you have several windows or programs running, you'll see that each has an entry button on the desktop taskbar. If you want to switch to another window or program, just move to the taskbar and click on the button you want. If you get bored with the taskbar running along the bottom of the screen, why not move it to the top or side of the screen? Move the pointer over the taskbar - but not over a button - and click and drag the bar to a new position. Secondly, if you want to see the current date, move the pointer over the current time display and a little pop-up display will show you today's date.
